With experience on Wall Street and Bay Street, Alex brings a wealth of unique advocacy experience for clients.

Alex is an associate in the firm’s Labour & Employment Group in Toronto. He advises clients in workplace law matters including employment standards, wrongful dismissals, human rights, privacy, workplace investigations, occupational health and safety, collective bargaining, labour arbitrations and labour and employment issues arising in corporate transactions.

Alex began his career as a summer student, articling student, and later as a Labour and Employment Associate at McCarthy Tétrault before moving to New York City to practice as a commercial litigator at a renowned global law firm. Alex has represented clients in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal and numerous U.S. state, federal and appellate courts. In addition to labour and employment matters, Alex has represented clients in a wide range of complex civil litigation and investigatory matters, including securities, environmental tort, bankruptcy, and products liability class actions.

Alex received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto. He received a Dual Canadian and American law degree from the University of Windsor and University of Detroit Mercy, graduating at the top of his class. In law school, Alex was the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards and was selected to give the Valedictorian address to his graduating class.

Alex is a member of the firm’s Inclusion Now initiative, including as a member of the Pride Action Group, which is committed to advancing LGBTQ2S initiatives in the firm, with our clients, and beyond.

Alex is also a Sessional Instructor at the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law, teaching a course to law students regarding Labour Arbitration.

Alex is a member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Labour and Employment Section Executive for the 2023-2024 term.

Alex is admitted to practice in Ontario, New York, and the United States District Court of the Southern District of New York.

He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, the Human Resources Professional Association, the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and New York City Bar Association.
