Ailbish Skinner is an associate in our Business Law Group and Financial Services Group in Vancouver. Her practice is primarily focused in the areas of corporate commercial law, credit facilities and project finance. She assists both lenders and borrowers on secured and unsecured credit facilities, project finance agreements and the development of projects.

  • negotiating and advising a port operator in connection with a syndicated credit facility of $300 million;

  • advising the lenders to the successful proponent for the Borden Data Centre Expansion Project;
  • advising the lenders to the successful proponent for the Penticton Regional Hospital Patient Care Tower Project;

  • advising the lenders to the successful proponent for the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Project;
  • assisting a borrower in obtaining loan facilities secured under its capital markets platform; and
  • advising the successful proponent for the South Fraser Perimeter Road Project.
     

Ailbish joined the firm in May 2013 as a summer articled student. She received a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of British Columbia in 2010 and her J.D. (With Distinction) from the University of Western Ontario in 2014. While at Western Law, Ailbish was on the Dean’s Honor List and was awarded the Margaret H. McNulty Prize and Law Society of Upper Canada Prize for academic excellence.

Ailbish was called to the British Columbia bar. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association and the Vancouver Bar Association.
