Law School

University of Western Ontario

Adriana Forest recently received her law degree from the University of Western Ontario’s Faculty of Law, where she obtained Dean’s Honor List.

During her time at law school, Adriana competed in multiple mooting competitions. Most notably, Adriana’s team, representing Western Law, was Champion of the Warren K. Winkler Class Actions Moot Competition in 2018. Aside from her mooting endeavours, Adriana was also selected through Western Law’s International Summer Law Internship Program to complete a legal internship in Chicago, IL during the summer of 2016, where she conducted legal research on various bi-national Great Lakes issues. Adriana went on to author an article on a pressing and controversial US administrative law decision regarding Great Lakes water resources: Adriana Forest, “The Approval of Waukesha’s Diversion Application under the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Basin Water Resources Compact—Bad Precedent for the Great Lakes”, (2017) Canada-US Law Journal. In addition, Adriana was the recipient of the Cohen Highley LLP Award, which recognizes academic excellence and community involvement in Southwestern Ontario.

Prior to attending law school, Adriana completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biological Sciences at the University of Windsor (with Distinction) and a Master of Science in Environmental Science at the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research. Adriana’s master’s research was focussed on the aquaculture industry, and her findings have since been published in scientific journals.

Aside from her studies, Adriana enjoys cooking, travelling and creative writing.
