In conjunction with the 2020 PDAC Convention, our Global Metals and Mining Group will be hosting our annual presentation on the legal challenges facing mining companies in Canada and abroad.

The latest legal developments and practical insights will be shared by panels comprised of industry leaders and McCarthy Tétrault lawyers. This year, we look forward to discussing:

• The Merger of Equals
• Managing Drug and Alcohol Impairment in the Mining Industry
• Implications to Miners from Canada’s commitments to UN obligations: dealing with Canada’s commitments in relation to biodiversity, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and related commitments respecting Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCA’s)
