United Way Inclusion Now Gift – Investing in the Communities Where We Work and Live

In 2018 we began The Inclusion Now Gift, McCarthy Tétrault’s trailblazing five-year, $5-million commitment to United Way Centraide.
In October of 2023, the firm recommitted to the Inclusion Now Gift, announcing another pledge of $5 million dollars over five years. Each year, $1 million to United Way Centraide funds agencies and programs in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montréal, and Québec City that work to remove barriers to inclusion for marginalized groups and populations who face daily challenges that are amplified by poverty.
Our sponsorship of United Way Centraide supports:
- Newcomers to Canada,
- Indigenous peoples,
- Members of the LGBTQ2S+ community,
- Women, and
- People with disabilities.
In 2023 the firm pledged an additional $1 million dollars to tackling the homelessness crisis in Canada. This pledge supports agencies and initiatives that offer emergency support for those at risk of imminent homelessness and wraparound care for the complex issues that cause homelessness including, disability, mental illness, substance abuse, and intimate partner violence.
