Potentia Renewables closes financing for Skyview 2 Battery Energy Storage System project

On January 28, 2026, Potentia Renewables Inc. ("Potentia") completed a C$542 million project financing for the Skyview 2 Battery Energy Storage System, a major renewable energy project currently under construction in Edwardsburgh Cardinal, Ontario. With an installed capacity of 411 MW for up to 4 hours of duration, this project will be the largest battery energy storage project in Canada once built.
The project is owned by Power Sustainable Energy Infrastructure Partnership (PSEIP) and the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan, with Potentia acting as developer on behalf of PSEIP. Potentia, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, is a fully integrated developer, owner, asset manager, and operator of renewable energy facilities.
