The Vancouver Office of McCarthy Tétrault LLP seeks a highly-motivated lawyer to join our national Business Law Group with a focus on environmental, regulatory and Aboriginal matters. The successful candidate will join a team which provides a full range of strategic legal advice to clients which operate in a wide range of industries.

The ideal candidate is motivated by excellent work and highly engaged colleagues and appreciates superior technology and other support.  The candidate will have:

• A minimum of 6 years of post-call corporate/commercial law, environment, regulatory and Aboriginal experience, with a preference for candidates with an interest in energy transition matters (including carbon markets, ESG, CCUS, energy storage, hydrogen, renewables and LNG);
• Excellent academic and professional credentials;
• Strong analytical, communication and drafting skills; and
• A demonstrated commitment to teamwork and client service excellence.
The successful applicant will work closely with leading business law lawyers and be part of a top-tier team providing sophisticated legal advice to a diverse range of Canadian and international clients.
