Toronto, July 13, 2021 — It is with great pleasure that McCarthy Tétrault congratulates William “Bill” D. Black on his appointment as a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario. Justice Black has served as an esteemed partner and member of McCarthy Tétrault’s National Litigation practice since 1989.

“Bill is a tremendous litigator of great skill and insight. Over the years, he has not only been a trusted advisor to his clients but has also guided and mentored the next generation of litigators at the firm,” said Caroline Zayid, National Litigation Practice Group Leader. “Ontario has gained a fair-minded and brilliant jurist, and we look forward to watching Bill serve as a thoughtful and considerate judge of the Superior Court.”
