McCarthy Tétrault strengthens its Vancouver office with addition of Paul Cassidy, Debra Finlay and Monika Sawicka

Toronto, April 9 2014 — McCarthy Tétrault is delighted to announce the arrival of two new partners in the firm’s Vancouver Office, Paul Cassidy and Debra Finlay and associate Monika Sawicka. The addition of these lawyers will complement and strengthen McCarthy Tétrault’s efforts in projects, environmental, energy, outsourcing and-complex commercial matters, allowing the firm to better serve its clients across Canada.

Mr. Cassidy is a leading energy and environmental lawyer. His practice combines regulatory, corporate/commercial, litigation, policy and project development work for clients across North America in a number of industries, including the energy (including market leading LNG projects), marine and terminal shipping, natural resources extraction, power, transportation and manufacturing sectors.

Ms. Finlay is a leading corporate and commercial lawyer with vast experience in a number of industries, including chemical, manufacturing, energy, agrifood and technology. She has acted as lead counsel on complex commercial matters involving public sector outsourcing work, M&A transactions and resource related project work (including market leading LNG projects). Debra also has experience in handling commercial agreements matters with First Nations.

Ms. Sawicka’s practice focuses on all aspects of environmental law, including litigation, corporate matters and aboriginal issues.
