Toronto. March 18, 2022. McCarthy Tétrault acted as a legal advisor on the Manitoba Fiber Project which was named Telecoms Deal of the Year for North America at the IJGlobal Awards ceremony held March 17, 2022 in New York City.

Manitoba Fibre: The firm advised Canada Infrastructure Bank in formalizing its agreement with Valley Fiber Ltd. and DIF Capital Partners to invest in the Manitoba Fibre project. This important initiative brings affordable, dedicated fibre-to-the-home cabling to approximately 48,500 underserved households in rural Manitoba and vastly improves internet, telephone and television services in isolated communities. The McCarthy Tétrault team was led by Lynn Parsons and included Samantha Cunliffe, Liezl Behm, Genevieve Loxley, RJ Reid, Curtis Chance, Selina Lee-Andersen, Keith Rose, and Vincent Yip.
