McCarthy Tétrault Most Active Law Firm in Canadian Private Equity Deals – First Half of 2015

Toronto, August 18, 2015 — McCarthy Tétrault proudly announces that it topped the Canadian private equity disclosed financings, by deal count, for the first half of 2015, according to the private equity league tables published recently for the first time in the Financial Post.

During the first six months of 2015, the 145 private equity disclosed deals across Canada totaled $7.8 billion. The energy and power sector accounted for 44% of all deals at $3.4 billion. With 7 deals valued at $1.58 billion, McCarthy Tétrault was the busiest law firm in the Canadian private equity deal space.
