Toronto, October 26, 2012 — McCarthy Tétrault is pleased to announce that its lawyers Oliver Borgers and Michele Siu have co-authored the Canada chapter of the inaugural edition of Foreign Investment Review, part of Law Business Research’s Getting The Deal Through series of annual reports.

Foreign Investment Review provides clients, corporate counsel and cross-border legal practitioners with international analysis of key areas of law and policy that pertain to mergers, national interest and national security in 26 jurisdictions, and will be updated annually. McCarthy Tétrault is the only Canadian firm contributing to the volume, and in addition to being an author, Mr. Borgers is the contributing editor, and assisted in devising this new and unique publication.

Mr. Borgers is a partner in McCarthy Tétrault’s Competition Group in Toronto, focusing on antitrust law, foreign investment review (Investment Canada Act) and M&A transactions. He sits on the editorial board of Practical Law Company’s Competition Law Handbook.
