McCarthy Tétrault joins Human Dignity Trust’s legal panel

Toronto, March 17, 2014 — McCarthy Tétrault is pleased to announce that the firm has joined the Human Dignity Trust’s (HDT) legal panel to provide pro bono expertise to HDT-supported cases challenging the criminalization of homosexuality. McCarthy Tétrault, the only Canadian law firm on the panel, will advise on matters related to Canadian law, particularly constitutional law. Other panel members include international law firms, and human rights and public interest law firms.

The London-based Human Dignity Trust (HDT) is an organization of international human rights lawyers who assist local partners with strategic litigation to challenge laws that criminalize homosexuality, wherever those laws exist globally.
