McCarthy Tétrault applauds Lisa Vogt on Queen’s Counsel appointment

Vancouver, January 5, 2015 — McCarthy Tétrault is delighted to congratulate Vancouver partner Lisa Vogt on her appointment to the Queen’s Counsel in British Columbia. This prestigious title recognizes exceptional merit and contribution to the community and the justice system in the province.

Ms. Vogt is McCarthy Tétrault’s Chief Diversity and Engagement Officer, the former head of its Real Property & Planning Group and former BC regional managing partner. Ms. Vogt is an enthusiastic advocate for women in the legal profession and currently co-chairs the Law Society of BC’s Justicia Project, which encourages law firms to identify and implement best practices to retain and advance women lawyers in private practice. She was a long-term board member of the Vancouver Children’s Festival and the Vancouver YWCA, and currently sits on the board of the Minerva Foundation for BC Women.

The Queen’s Counsel designation is appointed annually by British Columbia’s Attorney General and Minister of Justice to members of the legal profession.
