McCarthy Tétrault Advisor Wayne G. Wouters is appointed officer of the Order of Canada

Toronto, June 30, 2017 – McCarthy Tétrault warmly congratulates Strategic and Policy Advisor Wayne G. Wouters, PC on his distinguished appointment as an officer of the Order of Canada. The Governor General of Canada, David Johnston honoured recipients while the country also celebrates its 150th anniversary of Confederation. Wayne receives this well-deserved merit of achievement which recognises a lifetime of contributions in service to Canada.

Wayne faithfully served this country during his prestigious 37-year career in public service, including 5 years serving as the Clerk of the Privy Council of Canada. As Clerk, he held the roles of Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, Secretary to the Cabinet and Head of the Public Service, providing direct advice and support to the Prime Minister on all issues affecting the federal Government. Wayne is known for his ability to combine visionary, strategic, financial and tactical expertise in complex environments.
