Leading Litigator Sarit Batner once again named one of Canada’s Top 25 Women in the field
Toronto, August 1, 2017 — McCarthy Tétrault congratulates partner Sarit Batner of the firm’s Litigation Group in Toronto for being selected as one of Canada’s Top 25 Women in Litigation by Benchmark Litigation for the fourth consecutive year.
“It comes as no surprise that Sarit has once again been listed as one of the country’s top women litigators,” says National Litigation Practice Group Leader Caroline Zayid. “Sarit not only has a brilliant legal mind, she is a fearless and strategic advocate for her clients’ best interests, whether in court or at the negotiating table.”
Sarit is also a member of the firm’s Board of Partners and maintains a significant trial and appellant litigation practice with a focus on complex commercial litigation and arbitrations. She has extensive experience before courts of appeal, including as lead counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada, and trial courts with juries, arbitration panels, administrative and regulatory tribunals. In addition to her busy litigation practice, Ms. Batner frequently speaks and writes on matters of substantive law, trial and appellate advocacy and issues affecting women and young professionals.
Benchmark Litigation, a leading publication covering the litigation and disputes market in North America, compiles the Top 25 in Women in Litigation in Canada list from extensive research, feedback from peers, and interviews with litigators and their clients for their annual Benchmark Canada guide.
