Deron Waldock joins McCarthy Tétrault’s Pensions, Benefits & Executive Compensation Group in Toronto

Deron has more than 20 years of experience providing clients with practical advice and guidance relating to all aspects of pensions, benefits and executive compensation. He is knowledgeable, creative, personable and pragmatic. Prior to his recent consulting role, national and international lawyer ranking agencies considered him to be amongst the very best pensions and benefits lawyers in Canada. He is well regarded by his peers, and he has held leadership positions in many benefits industry associations. He has a reputation for using his formidable expertise to simplify complex issues and to find practical strategic solutions.

Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, Deron was Canadian Practice Leader, Legal Consulting & Compliance at a major international consulting firm, and prior to that, a pensions partner in another national law firm. Deron is called to the bar in Ontario and Alberta. His clients have included universities, municipal bodies, governmental agencies, multinational corporations and jointly-trusteed and multi-employer pension plans. In addition, he has significant transaction experience involving public and private entities in all Canadian jurisdictions.
