Benchmark Canada names McCarthy Tétrault partner Sarit Batner one of the Top 25 Women Litigators in Canada
Toronto, August 4, 2016 — Sarit Batner, a partner in McCarthy Tétrault’s Litigation Group in Toronto and a member of the firm’s Board of Partners, has been named by Benchmark Canada as one of the Top 25 Women in Litigation for the third consecutive year.

Ms. Batner maintains a significant trial and appellant litigation practice with a focus on complex commercial litigation and arbitrations. Her practice includes class actions, oppression and shareholder disputes and she has a particular interest in professional liability matters, having acted as counsel for doctors as well as engineers, accountants and lawyers, in a wide variety of cases. Ms. Batner has extensive experience before courts of appeal, including as lead counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada, and trial courts with juries, arbitration panels, administrative and regulatory tribunals.
