The Toronto Office of McCarthy Tétrault LLP seeks a highly-motivated associate to join our International Trade & Investment Law Group within our Litigation Group.
The successful candidate will assist our team in advising our clients on disputes, enforcement and compliance matters, involving anti-corruption laws and policies, economic sanctions, trade and technology transfer controls, international trade and investment agreements, anti-dumping and countervail actions, customs and import/export laws and related product regulation, and government contracting and procurement.
Our ideal candidate will be qualified to practise law in Ontario and have
the following credentials:
- 2-3 years of post-call practice experience in the trade and investment
- Excellent academic and professional credentials;
- Excellent analytical, communication and drafting skills;
- Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills; and
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and client service excellence.

Wortzmans, a division of McCarthy Tétrault LLP, is looking for contract E-Discovery Review Lawyers to immediately support projects in Calgary.
We are seeking lawyers who are skilled in the latest document review technologies and tools. Post-call litigation experience and an interest in electronic discovery is preferred. All applicants must be called to the Bar in Canada and carry professional liability insurance.
- LL.B. or J.D. degree (or international equivalent) and maintenance of good standing with the Law Society of Alberta, or other Canadian Bar
- Minimum 1 year of experience in document review or experience as part of a project management and/or quality control team
- Experience with document review platforms, including Relativity, Ringtail, and Eclipse considered an asset
- Experience with analytics-based review tools is an asset
- Ability to work as part of a highly-focused team
- Ability to work remotely, and on-site when needed
- Bilingual or multi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply
