Presented by McCarthy Tétrault, the Internal Investigations Seminar was held from January 20 to 30, 2009 at our Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montréal and Québec offices.
Different isssues were covered by our lawyers, such as: advantages and disadvantages of internal investigations, protecting privilege, interviewing witnesses, gathering and preserving electronic evidence, employees' rights, insurance coverage, special committees, whether to cooperate voluntarily with regulators and anticipating regulatory action or private litigation.
