McCarthy Tétrault partner Gabrielle Richards elected to lead The Canadian Tax Foundation

Toronto, December 5, 2014 — McCarthy Tétrault congratulates Gabrielle Richards, partner in the firm’s Tax Group, on her recent election as chair of the Board of Governors of The Canadian Tax Foundation. Ms. Richards was previously the vice-chair of the Board of Governors and the chair of the Foundation's Executive Committee.

Ms. Richards is a partner in the firm’s Toronto office and a former member of the firm’s Board of Partners. Her practice is focused on the tax implications of mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and corporate finance, as well as other general taxation matters. She was names among the Top 100 of Canada’s Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) in 2009 and has been listed along Canada’s top 25 women lawyers. She is featured in Lexpert Magazine and is included in Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Expert Guide to the World's Leading Tax Advisers. Ms. Richards is an Adjuct Professor of the Osgoode Hall Law School of York University.
