This edition will be of particular interest to private practitioners, in-house lawyers, law students, law professors and librarians. The authors have selected the important cases in IP law, including very recent cases from the Supreme Court of Canada and other appellant courts, to provide the most up to date and instructive set of materials on IP law in Canada.

All three authors are adjunct professors of intellectual property at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. They are well-known for their expertise in IP law, with experience appearing before all types of IP regulatory bodies and all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada.

Mr. Sookman is a partner and former co-leader of the firm’s Technology Law Group, and the former head of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. He also advises clients on validity and infringement, and appears regularly before the Patent Appeals Board, Copyright Board and Patented Medicines Prices Review Board.
