Montréal, December 16, 2011 — McCarthy Tétrault congratulates Richard Drouin, who has been honoured by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) with the Fellowship Award. The F.ICD designation is conferred annually to a prominent group of directors who exemplify the distinct qualities of good governance in boardrooms across the country. The four 2012 ICD Fellows were nominated by their peers and chosen by members of the independent Nomination Committee from a list of highly regarded governance leaders.

The Institute of Corporate Directors is a not-for-profit, member-based association representing Canadian directors and boards across the for-profit, not-for-profit and government sectors. With more than 5,500 members and a network of nine chapters, the ICD promotes the effectiveness of directors by providing quality director education and professional certification; opportunities for continuous learning and networking through local chapter events; board matching and referral service; and access to timely information on current and emerging governance issues and best practices.
