Toronto, June 8, 2011 — McCarthy Tétrault is pleased to announce that Brenda Swick has been appointed Vice-Chair of the International Procurement Committee of the American Bar Association Section of International Law. Ms. Swick is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department, a member of the International Trade and Investment Law Group, and the co-chair of the National Procurement Group. The Procurement Committee has a general mandate to develop core expertise in different procurement systems all over the world, including Canada.

The American Bar Association (ABA) is the largest voluntary professional association in the world, with more than 400,000 members. The ABA provides law school accreditation, continuing legal education, information about the law, programs to assist lawyers and judges in their work, and initiatives to improve the legal system for the public.
