McCarthy Tétrault Tops 2007 League Tables
Highest dollar value of completed deals for the year

Toronto, January 21, 2008 — McCarthy Tétrault ranked number one in the 2007 Canadian M&A league tables for the highest value of completed deals. The firm advised on M&A transactions worth over $94.4 US billion, nearly $20 billion more than its closest competitor.

The firm also had the third-highest number of completed and announced deals in 2007, having acted on a total of 115 mergers and acquisitions. These and other results were recently reported in Thomson Financial’s year-end Canadian mergers and acquisition league tables.
