Biography

Lindsay Burgess is an associate in our Litigation Group in Vancouver. She maintains a general civil litigation practice and has experience in a range of areas including commercial and contractual disputes.

Lindsay received her JD with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2015, where she received numerous awards for academic achievement and leadership. Ms. Burgess also holds a CPA, CMA designation and prior to law school she practiced as a senior associate in a public accounting firm where she provided clients with a range of services including strategic business advice.

While earning her JD, Lindsay was highly involved with the law school including acting as President of the Canadian Lawyers Abroad Student Chapter, member of the Editorial Committee of the Alberta Law Review,  Program Coordinator for LEAF Edmonton’s “No Means No” Program, caseworker with the Student Legal Services of Edmonton Civil and Family Law Project, and participating in the U of A Faculty of Law Research Project on Human Trafficking. Ms. Burgess was also actively involved in competitive moots, competing in the 2014 Bowman National Tax Moot and the 2015 Canadian rounds of the Jessup International Law Moot.

Lindsay joined the firm as an articled student in 2015 and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2016. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, the Vancouver Bar Association, and the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia, Alberta and Canada.
