Laure Fouin is a lawyer in McCarthy Tétrault’s Business Law Group in Montreal. Her practice focuses on securities law, M&A, structured finance and securitization, financial product regulation, private equity and Fintech.
Ms. Fouin holds a masters degree in business law and a masters degree in banking and financial law from Université Panthéon-Assas Paris II as well as an LLM from McGill University. She previously obtained a bachelor’s degree in business/tax law from and completed the required courses for admission into the Quebec Bar at the Université de Montréal.
Ms. Fouin is currently studying derivatives regulation in the doctoral program at McGill University, where she taught a course on credit default swaps and securitization.
Ms. Fouin was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2013. She is member of the board of directors of the Finance and Sustainability Initiative (FSI) and a member of Young Canadians in Finance and of the Chambre de commerce française au Canada.
