Jessica L. Dorsey is an associate in our Litigation Group in Vancouver. She maintains a broad litigation practice with experience in a range of areas, including corporate commercial civil litigation, insurance coverage, environmental law, regulatory law, constitutional law, and administrative law. She is a contributing author to the book, Defending Class Actions: A Guide for Defendants, 4th Edition, published by LexisNexis.
Jessica received her JD from the University of British Columbia in 2012, where she was the recipient of the Raymond G. Herbert Award for the best all-around graduating student, the Allan McEachern Memorial Scholarship in Law, the Dean’s Public Interest Fellowship, the Davis LLP Prize in Appellate Advocacy, and other awards.
While at UBC, Jessica acted as the Social Justice Representative of the Careers Committee, President of the Canadian Lawyers Abroad Student Chapter, member of the 2011 UBC Wilson Moot team, and researcher for Professor Margot Young. She also spent a summer working in Ghana for Women in Law and Development Africa.
Jessica joined the firm after clerking at the British Columbia Court of Appeal for Madam Justice Levine and Mr. Justice Hinkson, as he then was. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2013 and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
