Biography

Leslie Milroy is an associate in the Business Law Group and a member of our global Mining Group.

Ms. Milroy’s practice focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and general corporate matters. She regularly acts on hostile and friendly take-over bids, reverse take-overs, plans of arrangement, asset and share purchases and related party transactions; public and private securities offerings, stock exchange listings and securities regulatory matters; and corporate reorganizations. She also provides advice to public company clients on securities law requirements, including continuous disclosure matters.

Ms. Milroy recently completed a six-month secondment to the Corporate Finance Team and Mergers and Acquisitions Team of the Corporate Finance Branch at the Ontario Securities Commission.
She is a regular contributor to the Annotated Ontario Securities Legislation book published by CCH. She also contributes McCarthy's M&A and mining blogs, Canadian M&A Perspectives and Mining Prospects.

Ms. Milroy completed her B.A. at McGill University in 2000. She received her LL.B. in 2006 from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario bar in 2007. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association. She is also a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.
