Anastassia Chtaneva is a partner in our Business Law Group in Québec City. Her practice focuses mainly on the areas of energy and infrastructures, construction law and project financing She advises and assists clients on infrastructure, industrial and energy projects in the areas of development, construction, equipment supply, contract negotiations and financing.
Ms. Chtaneva has acted for developers, investors and lenders in connection with various infrastructure and energy projects in Québec, Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and Nova Scotia. More specifically, she has experience in reviewing tender documents and drafting and negotiation of various construction, procurement, consulting and engineering contracts. As well, she has represented clients in a number of public-private partnership infrastructure projects and has experience in the purchase and sale of businesses, including in the energy industry.
Ms. Chtaneva is listed in the last edition of The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, a guide to the leading law firms and practitioners in Canada, as a leading lawyer in the areas of energy (Electricity) and project finance.
Ms. Chtaneva received her LLM degree from Laval University in 2001, and her Bachelor of Law degree from the Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO) in 1999. After articling with the firm, she was called to the Québec bar in 2003.
