Phillip L. Sanford

Phillip Sanford is a partner in our Municipal Group in Toronto. His practice focuses on municipal property tax appeals, property tax recovery disputes and commercial rent review arbitrations.
Mr. Sanford represents many of Ontario’s largest commercial and industrial enterprises. He also advises various municipalities and Crown corporations.
Mr. Sanford is a frequent lecturer before public, educational and professional associations, including the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Institute of Municipal Assessors and the Canadian Property Tax Association.
He is a member of the Advocate’s Society and frequently appears before the Assessment Review Board, Ontario Municipal Board and before Ontario’s civil courts.
Mr. Sanford received his BA from Carleton University in 1972 and his LLB from the University of Ottawa in 1976. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1978.
