Leah Ostler is an associate in our Litigation Group in Toronto. She maintains a general litigation practice which includes commercial litigation and medical malpractice.

Leah received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. At Osgoode, Leah held an executive position in the Osgoode Women’s Network (OWN); was a Dean’s Fellow for Torts Law; volunteered with Osgoode’s Community & Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP); and participated in several mentorship programs. Leah studied abroad at Amsterdam University, taking Masters of Laws courses in the subject of International Law.

At Osgoode, Leah wrote a directed research paper on the topic of religious freedoms and physician-assisted dying alongside Associate Dean Benjamin Berger.

Prior to attending law school, Leah obtained her B.A. (Honours) in History and Global Development at Western University, graduating with distinction. While at Western, she was an executive committee member of several social justice organizations.

Following her undergraduate degree, Leah acted as a Political Intern for the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) in Ramallah, West Bank.

RECENT PUBLICATIONS

As a member of McCarthy’s International Arbitration Group, Leah assisted Junior Sirivar with an article on the topic of greater transparency in arbitration, published in the Commercial Litigation and Arbitration Review.
