Konstantin Sobolevski is an associate in our Business Law Group in Montreal. He maintains a general corporate practice with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, securities, continuous disclosure matters and mining.
Konstantin’s recent experience includes:
- representing HNZ Group Inc. in connection with its acquisition by Mr. Don E. Wall and PHI, Inc. by way of plan of arrangement;
- representing Rayonier Advanced Materials Inc. in connection with its acquisition of Tembec Inc. by way of plan of arrangement; and
- acting as part of the team representing Nord Gold SE in connection with its acquisition of Northquest Ltd. by way of takeover bid.
Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, Konstantin worked as a senior lawyer in the Moscow office of an international gold mining company, where he was involved in mining, cross-border M&A, securities and public disclosure matters. Konstantin also worked as a commercial and business advisor to a Canadian mining company.
Konstantin obtained a joint common law and civil law degree from McGill University in 2016. He also holds a civil law degree from the Saint-Petersburg State University in Russia. Konstantin was called to the Quebec Bar in 2017 and he is admitted to practice law in Russia.
Since August 2017, Konstantin sits on the board of directors of the Canadian Association of Lawyers with Russian Eurasian Interests.
