Guillaume Giguère is an associate in our Business Law Group in Québec City.

Guillaume’s practice focuses on large, complex files in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and private equity. In this regard, he represents private and public companies, institutional and strategic investors, and venture capital firms in all types of transactional and investment files across a wide range of industries and sectors, including the retail market (agribusiness, consumer products, etc.), infrastructure and projects, transportation and logistics, healthcare (pharmaceutical and life sciences industries), technology and communications, and energy and natural resources.

Guillaume completed his License in Civil Law (LL.L) at the University of Ottawa (Cum Laude) in 2016 and a specialized graduate diploma in business law from Université Laval in 2018. During his university studies, he was actively involved in numerous student associations and initiatives, notably as Vice-President of External Affairs of AED (Association des étudiantes et étudiants en droit civil de l’Université d’Ottawa). Guillaume also founded the Gala Grand Maillet de la Section de droit civil de la Faculté de droit de l’Université d’Ottawa and chaired its first award evening. In addition, he represented the University of Ottawa at the Laskin, a national moot court competition in administrative and constitutional law. Guillaume also worked for many years as a research assistant for professor Benoît Pelletier, a former Québec cabinet minister.

Before joining the firm, Guillaume worked for another national firm and a large regional firm. A dedicated lawyer, he is active in many causes and initiatives, both within and outside the firm, including our student recruitment program. Guillaume was called to the Québec Bar in 2018.
